COMMON QUESTIONS WHEN GETTING STARTED WITH CROSSFIT

IS CROSSFIT FOR ME? I'VE NEVER DONE IT BEFORE.

Yes! No matter where you are on your fitness journey (from novice to expert) CrossFit is for  all ages and all fitness levels.

It seems as though everyone knows someone who got "hurt" doing CrossFit. CrossFit style workouts can be dangerous with inexperienced coaches (or working out without a coach), cookie-cutter programming, and plain ignorance. This is why we have our fundamentals first, where we teach the proper movement mechanics and build the foundation that ensures you will be able to understand each movement and execute them safely.

During fundamentals we also address previous injuries or specific restrictions and determine what variations of foundational movements you will be able to perform during classes.

DO YOU OFFER A TRIAL MEMBERSHIP IF I’M NOT SURE THAT I WANT TO JOIN?

YES! You receive a complimentary class to see what is the fuss about CFHH. After you attend your trial class you will sit down with a Coach to talk about memberships. Limited to 1 class per new member. 

I HAVE A PRIOR INJURY, CAN I STILL DO CROSSFIT?

Absolutely! Please inform us of any limitations, concerns, or prior injuries before your first class, but our coaches will ask again during your first class anyway. Our coaches will address any concerns or limitations you may have and either instruct you to use a lighter weight, perform less repetitions, or adapt the movement to better accommodate your limitations.

I HAVEN’T HIT THE GYM IN YEARS. HOW CAN I GET BACK INTO A ROUTINE?

Our Coaches are very educated and have a combined total of over 15 years of experience. They will ensure you take this journey on together and take the proper steps to get back safely and efficiently. You will start slowly. Remember it is fitness but it's also about having fun.

IS CROSSFIT FAMILY FRIENDLY?

Yes, you will not find a more family-friendly gym in Central Texas than CrossFit Harker Heights. We not only offer CrossFit Kids Classes, but we also offer supervised child care two classes a day (9:00 am & 5:30 pm) for children 12 & under so you can workout and stay focused without having to worry about your children.

But if you don't have any children, or their all grown up, CFHH will quickly become a second family for you with our weekly community workouts (Saturdays at 9:00 am) or various holiday parties.
